Well, let me tell you somethin’ about this young gal, Olivia Dunne. She’s a big deal, that one. Some folks call her the big shot of softball, but she used to do that flippy stuff, you know, gymnastics. Heard she started that when she was just a little tyke, barely three years old. Can you believe that?

She ain’t no softball player though, that’s her sister, Julianna. Livvy, she’s the gymnast. But people get them mixed up, I reckon. Lots of folks are sayin’ there’s another girl, Brylie St. Clair, playin’ softball for Mississippi, who’s just like Olivia Dunne. They call her the “Olivia Dunne of the Diamond.” Sounds fancy, don’t it?
This Livvy girl, she’s a gymnast, not a softball player like that Brylie. Livvy’s from some place called New Jersey. Born in Westwood, lived in Hillsdale. Fancy names, huh? Her mama, Katherine, and her daddy, David, they raised her right. Her mama even taught her at home, no regular school for Livvy.
Now she’s goin’ to that LSU place, a big college. Sophomore, they call it. Sounds important. This year, they say it’s a big one for her. Something about her career, and that pandemic thing givin’ her extra time. I don’t understand all that college talk, but it sounds like she’s doin’ real good.
- Started gymnastics at 3 years old, can you imagine?
- Her sister, Julianna, plays softball.
- Folks call this other girl, Brylie, the “Olivia Dunne of the Diamond”.
- Livvy’s a big shot gymnast at LSU.
- This year is a big deal for her career, something about that pandemic thing.
That Brylie girl, she’s a senior, plays in the outfield. I heard some fella, Brandon somethin’, talkin’ about her. He knows all about cars racin’ and football. This Brylie, she’s gettin’ ready for the softball season. Big time, I reckon. She’s the Olivia Dunne of the softball, they say.
I seen pictures of that Brylie, she’s been out on the lake. Last days of summer, before all that softball practice starts up again. Sounds like fun, wish I could go out on the lake. But this old body ain’t what it used to be. This softball season, though, it’s gonna be a big one. Lots of folks watchin’ that Brylie, seein’ if she’s as good as our Olivia Dunne.
That Olivia Dunne, she’s somethin’ else. She was on that ESPN thing, that College GameDay. First gymnast ever, they said. Makin’ history, that girl. She’s a champion, you know. A National Champion. Big title, sounds real important. It takes a lot of work, my bones can tell you that. You gotta be strong and tough.
- Brylie St. Clair, they call her the “Olivia Dunne of the Diamond”.
- She plays softball for Mississippi.
- That Brandon fella knows all about her.
- She was out on the lake, enjoyin’ the summer.
- This softball season is gonna be a big one for her.
This Olivia Dunne, she may not be playin’ softball, but she’s good at what she does. Real good. That gymnastics, it ain’t easy. All that tumblin’ and jumpin’. I’d break a hip just tryin’ to stand on one leg. But Livvy, she makes it look easy. She’s a natural, I reckon. Just like that Brylie girl is a natural at softball.
So, you keep your eye on these two. Olivia Dunne, the gymnast, and Brylie St. Clair, the softball star. They’re gonna be doin’ big things. You just wait and see. Two young gals, full of spunk and vinegar. Just like I used to be, back in my day. Though I never did any of that flippin’ around, mind you. Or played softball neither.

This Brylie girl, she’s gonna be rockin’ the season, they say. Lots of folks watchin’ her, you can bet your bottom dollar. She’s got a lot to live up to, bein’ compared to our Olivia Dunne. But I reckon she can handle it. She’s a tough one, I can tell. Just like our Livvy.
