This whole Madden NFL 23 thing, it’s a big deal, I guess. They got all them players in there, running around, tackling each other. And this Deion Jones, he’s one of them, playing for that team…what’s it called? Falcons? Yeah, that’s it. He play linebacker, runnin fast, catch ball.
So, this rating thing, it’s like a score, right? Like when we used to grade hogs at the fair. The higher the number, the better the hog. Same with these football players, I reckon. They check how fast they run, how strong they is, if they good at catchin’ that pigskin.

They got all these categories, like 43 of ’em, they say. Sounds like a lot to me. Back in my day, we just looked at a fella and knew if he was a good worker or not. Didn’t need no fancy numbers. But these young folks, they love their numbers.
They got rookies, and they got veterans. That’s like the young’uns just starting out and the old-timers who been doing it for a while. They rate ’em different, I hear. The rookies, they check ’em out at them combine things, see how fast they is and all that.
That Deion Jones, he’s a veteran now. Been playing for a while. He signed one of them big contracts, you know. Lots of money. Makes my head spin just thinking about it. Millions, they say! Good for him, I say. He earned it. He work hard. He hit hard.
This Madden NFL 23, it’s got all the teams in it, I hear. All 32 of ’em. And they rate the teams too. Like, which one’s the best. They got offense, and defense. Like two sides of a coin, I guess. One side tries to score, the other side tries to stop ’em.
This game, it’s real popular, I guess. All the young folks play it. They get all excited about their favorite players and their ratings. It’s like their own little world in that video game.
They got this thing called Ultimate Team too. Sounds like some kind of dream team or something. They build it up with these cards, like them baseball cards my grandson used to collect.
This Madden rating for Deion Jones, it’s important to them, I guess. They like to see their favorite players with high numbers. Makes ’em feel good, I suppose. Like they picked a winner.
They talk about it all the time, these ratings. Who’s up, who’s down. Like it’s the most important thing in the world. They look it up online and everything.
They say this Madden game ain’t coming out till August. That’s a ways off. But they already talking about it, all excited.
Me, I don’t understand all the fuss. But if it makes ’em happy, that’s all that matters, I guess. These young folks and their video games.
They got all kind of players in this Madden 23. Quarterback, receiver, all kind. But Deion Jones, he a good one. Strong and fast. He earn his keep.
Anyway, that Deion Jones, he’s a good football player. And this Madden 23 rating thing, it just shows how good he is in that video game. That’s all I know.
