Alright, so I was digging around for some info on the University of Alabama football team. Specifically, I wanted to check out their depth chart. You know, see who’s playing where, who’s backing up who, that kind of stuff.

First, I started by hitting up a few of the usual spots online. You know, those sports news sites. I figured they’d have the latest info.
Finding the Depth Chart
After poking around a bit, I found a few different versions of the depth chart. Some were more detailed than others. I noticed some sites just listed the starters, while others went deeper, showing the second and third-string players.
- Quarterback: Looked like Jalen Milroe was the starting QB, with Ty Simpson and Dylan Lonergan behind him.
- Running Back: Jase McClellan seemed to be the top guy, followed by Roydell Williams and Justice Haynes.
- Wide Receiver: This was a bit more crowded, with Jermaine Burton, Ja’Corey Brooks, and Malik Benson listed as starters. There were a bunch of other guys listed as backups too.
- Defense: Honestly, I got a little lost here, with all those positions. But I did see some familiar names like Dallas Turner and Kool-Aid McKinstry.
Then I tried to cross-reference the information from the different sites. This was mainly to see if they all agreed. For the most part, they did, but there were a few minor differences here and there. Some sites had certain players listed higher or lower on the depth chart than others.
After I felt like I had a good handle on the current depth chart, I started thinking about how it might change throughout the season. You know, because of injuries, performance, and all that.
To get a better sense of this, I decided to look back at previous depth charts from the current season and even last season. This helped me see how the coaches have been shuffling players around, and who has been moving up or down the depth chart.
Overall, it was a pretty interesting little project. I definitely learned a lot more about the Alabama football team and their current roster situation. Plus, it’s always fun to try to predict how things might change in the future. Who knows, maybe I’ll be right about a few of these guys!
