Okay, here’s my attempt at writing a blog post in the style you requested, focusing on the “football coaching jobs in Illinois” topic:

Alright, so I wanted to get into coaching, specifically football, and I figured Illinois would be a good place to look. I mean, it’s the Midwest, football’s gotta be big there, right?
First thing I did was, you guessed it, hit up the internet. I wasn’t really sure where to start, so I just typed in “football coaching jobs Illinois” into the search bar.
Browsing Job Boards
I started to looked at a bunch of different websites. Some were your classic job boards, you know, the usual suspects.
I spent a good chunk of time just scrolling through listings. High school gigs, some college stuff, even a few openings that looked like they were for youth leagues. It was a lot to take in.
Refining My Search
I quickly figured out that I needed to be more specific. “Football coaching” was way too broad. I started adding in things like “high school,” “assistant coach,” or “head coach” to narrow things down. Also “entry level”.
My search was to check for location, most of the jobs I would of loved to apply were too far away.
Reaching Out
This whole process was, frankly, a bit overwhelming. There’s a lot of competition out there! But I’m keeping at it. I printed out my resume, I’ll update it and improve as I go.
My main takeaway so far? Finding a coaching job, like anything worthwhile, takes time and effort. You gotta be persistent, keep refining your approach, and, most importantly, don’t give up!It is also useful have some experience, so I’m going to try and do some volunteer work, to add to my cv.
