Okay, so today I decided to tackle a crossword puzzle, and the clue that really got me thinking was “place of twist and turns.” Let me tell you, my brain went through a few twists and turns itself trying to figure this one out!
First, I grabbed my favorite pen and stared at the empty spaces. I had a couple of letters filled in from other clues, but nothing that immediately screamed “Aha!” I started listing words in my head, you know, the usual brainstorming thing.
- “Maze”? Nope, didn’t fit.
- “Road”? Too short.
- “Labyrinth”? getting close in theme.
I kept going back to the clue, muttering “twist and turns” under my breath like some kind of weird mantra. Then I think, maybe it is a type of road or street?.
I decided to try “street” It fit!.
It’s funny how the simplest solutions are sometimes the hardest to see. That whole process of trying, failing, and trying again is what makes crosswords so addictive, I guess. Anyway, that’s my little crossword adventure for today.
