Alright, so I was browsing online, as I often do, and I stumbled upon something that really caught my eye. A vintage Seattle Mariners hat from 1987! Man, I’m a sucker for old-school sports gear, and this one looked like it was in pretty decent shape.

I started digging around, trying to find out more about it. I checked out a few different websites, you know, the usual spots where you find this kind of stuff. I saw a couple of similar hats, but they weren’t quite the same. Some were more worn out, some had different colors, but this one seemed like the real deal, the genuine article.
Then I started looking into the history. The Mariners in ’87, what was that season like? I found some old articles and box scores. They weren’t the best team, not even close, but they had some cool players. Reading about that season made me want the hat even more. It’s not just a hat; it’s like a little piece of baseball history. I was getting hyped up about it.
Next, I started thinking about the price. Was it worth it? I mean, it wasn’t super expensive, but it wasn’t exactly cheap either. I weighed the pros and cons. It’s a cool, vintage hat, in good condition, a piece of history… but was I really gonna wear it? I thought, I can easily afford it, but I had to do the math.
After thinking about it for a while, maybe a day or two, I decided to pull the trigger. I found a seller who seemed legit, you know, good reviews, clear pictures of the hat, all that stuff. I messaged them a couple of questions, just to be sure. They replied pretty quickly, answered everything, so I felt good about it.

And now, I’m just waiting. It’s supposed to arrive sometime next week. I’m pretty excited to get my hands on it. I’ll probably take some pictures and maybe even wear it to a game sometime. It’s gonna be a cool addition to my collection, for sure.
Update: The hat arrived! It’s even better in person than in the pictures. The colors are still vibrant, the logo is crisp, and it fits perfectly. I’m so glad I bought this thing. It’s definitely one of my favorite pieces now. I might even start looking for more vintage Mariners gear. Who knows, maybe I’ll find a jersey from ’87 to go with the hat!
Update 2: Wore it to a game and I got a couple of comments on the hat, I just smiled and kept walking.
Update 3: I took some pictures and I’m gonna put them on my wall, looks really nice!

Update 4: Some friends came over to my house, they were amazed and they asked me a lot of questions about the hat. After that I did some research on the web and I told them about the history of the Mariners in 1987.
