Alright, so yesterday I was messing around with some fighting game stuff, trying to see what I could pull off. I decided to dive into a match: Alex Palmers versus Jouri 2. Yeah, I know, kinda random, but hey, that’s how the cookie crumbles sometimes.

First off, I spent like, a good half hour just labbing Alex’s moves. I wanted to get a feel for his combos, his reach, and, most importantly, his special moves. I mean, knowing the basics is cool and all, but you gotta unlock the real power, right?
The Lab Work:
- Basic Combos: Started with simple stuff, jab, jab, heavy punch. You know, bread and butter.
- Special Moves: This is where things got interesting. Alex has this one move where he charges up and does this HUGE uppercut. Timing it was tricky, but once I got it down, it was devastating.
- Mix-ups: Tried to incorporate some low kicks and overheads to keep Jouri guessing. Variety is the spice of life, after all.
So, I jumped into the actual match. Jouri was playing pretty aggressively, lots of forward dashes and quick attacks. My initial strategy was to keep him at bay with Alex’s longer range punches and try to punish his reckless advances.
I started to see some progress in the second round. I began anticipating Jouri’s dash attacks. When he dashed, he was wide open. I managed to land a few of Alex’s big uppercuts, sending Jouri flying. This let me get a sense of how to control the pace.
But here’s the thing, Jouri is no slouch. He started mixing up his attacks and throws, catching me off guard a bunch of times. I realized I needed to be more patient and not just throw out random attacks. Wait for the openings, and THEN strike.
In the later rounds, I decided to focus on defense and counter-attacks. I blocked a lot, parried when I could, and waited for Jouri to make a mistake. When he did, BAM! Uppercut to the face. I also started incorporating some of Alex’s grapples to keep Jouri guessing. It was a real tug-of-war. He did his best to keep me on my toes.
The final round was intense. We were both low on health. Jouri went for an all-out attack, trying to finish me off. I managed to block most of it, and then, I saw my chance. He whiffed a punch, leaving himself open. I went for the charged-up uppercut, landed it perfectly, and… BOOM! Victory!
It was a tough match, but I learned a lot about Alex and how to play more strategically. Sometimes, you just gotta slow down, observe, and wait for the right moment to strike. Next time, I’m gonna focus on mastering Alex’s air combos. That’s the next frontier!
