What’d he do with all that money? Well, I heard he gave a whole bunch to the University of Florida Gators football team. Guess he liked them fellas throwin’ the pigskin around. That’s what rich folks do, I reckon, give money away to things they like.
So, the long and short of it is, nobody knows for sure how much Hugh Hathcock was worth. But one thing’s for certain, he had a whole lot of money. Whether it was a billion, 700 million, or 500 million, it’s more than most folks will ever see in their lifetime. He worked hard, made his fortune, and now he’s gone.
