Okay, so I’ve been meaning to organize my sports cards for, like, forever. Today, I finally tackled my Freddie Freeman collection. It’s gotten a little out of hand, to be honest.

Getting Started
First, I gathered all the cards. This was a task in itself! They were scattered in different boxes, binders, and even tucked away in random drawers. I dumped everything onto my dining room table – it was a glorious mess of cardboard and nostalgia.
Sorting the Chaos
Next, I started sorting. My initial plan was simple:
- Rookie cards – These are always the most important, so they get their own special pile.
- Numbered cards – You know, the ones that say “12/100” or something like that. These feel a bit more special.
- Autographed cards– Got a few of these over the years, and obviously, they’re keepers.
- Regular cards– Everything else. Base cards, inserts, whatever. Just the standard stuff.
I grabbed a bunch of those soft card sleeves and some top loaders (the hard plastic ones) to protect the good stuff. It was actually kind of relaxing, putting each card in its little protective home.
The “Wow” Moments
While I was sorting, I rediscovered some cards I’d totally forgotten about! Like, I found a really cool insert card from, I think, 2012? It’s got this shiny, holographic thing going on. Awesome!
I also stumbled upon my first-ever Freddie Freeman autographed card. that’s special to me.
Organizing for Real
After everything was sorted and protected, I put the rookie cards and autographs in a separate, smaller binder. The numbered cards and other special inserts went into a nice, sturdy box with dividers. The regular cards? I put them into these big, long card storage boxes.
The end of result, I am very happy, I sorted my Freddie Freeman cards collection successfully.
