Today, I messed around with something called “synthesizer” in Wuthering Waves, and it was a bit of a trip. I’d heard some folks talking about it, how it can boost your Echoes, and I figured, why not give it a shot? So, I fired up the game and started poking around.

First off, I had to get to the Synthesizer. It wasn’t too hard to find, just went into the main menu and there it was. Once I was in, I saw a bunch of options for upgrading my Echoes.
The main thing is, you need materials to upgrade these things. It’s like cooking – you can’t make a cake without eggs, right? So, I had a look at what I had in my inventory. There are these things called “Shell Credits” and some other upgrade materials. I had a decent stash of Shell Credits from just playing the game, doing quests, and beating up monsters. But the other materials, those were a bit harder to come by.
- Shell Credits: You get these pretty easily, just from playing normally.
- Specific Upgrade Materials: These are rarer. You gotta farm for them in certain areas or from specific enemies.
I decided to upgrade one of my common Echoes first, just to see how it works. I picked one, threw in some Shell Credits and a few of the basic upgrade materials I had, and hit the synthesize button. It did a little animation, and bam, my Echo was leveled up! It was pretty cool to see its stats go up. It wasn’t a huge jump, but definitely noticeable.
Then I got a bit bolder and tried upgrading a rarer Echo. This one needed some special materials that I didn’t have enough of. So, I had to go out and farm for them. It took a while, running around different zones, fighting those specific monsters that drop the stuff I needed. It was a bit of a grind, to be honest, but hey, that’s part of the game, right?
Eventually, I got enough materials and went back to the Synthesizer. I upgraded my rare Echo, and this time the boost was way bigger. It felt good, like all that grinding paid off. My Echo was stronger, and I could feel the difference when I went back into battles.
My Takeaway
So, after spending a good chunk of time with the Synthesizer, here’s what I think: It’s definitely worth it. Upgrading your Echoes can make a big difference in your gameplay. But be prepared to put in some work. You gotta collect those materials, and it can take some time. It’s not something you can just rush through. But if you’re patient and willing to grind a bit, you can make your Echoes a lot stronger, and that makes the game even more fun.
That’s my experience with the Synthesizer in Wuthering Waves. Hope you found it helpful! I am gonna try out some other features in this game. See you guys next time!
