Module I: OSHA Right-To-Know
Right-To-Know is the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) requirements set forth in its Hazards Communication Standard for employers to communicate to their employees regarding chemical hazards in the workplace. The aim of this educational module is to insure that your facility is in compliance with the OSHA Standard. The Standard covers a prescribed training agenda, record-keeping, identifying hazardous chemicals in the workplace, documentation of who attended, and person(s) in charge at your location for implementing training of this type, certification, and support materials.
When completed, employees will have an increased awareness and knowledge of the chemicals they use, potential hazards, what to do in case of an emergency, a basic understanding of the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), how to safeguard building occupants from the potential hazards, and protecting themselves from any potential hazards.
